8th Annual Hudson Valley Diversity Job Fair Set For October 13, 2016

NEWBURGH, NY: Independent Living, Inc. is sponsoring its annual Diversity Job Fair on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 10am to 1pm in the Green Room located at the Cornerstone Residence, 111 Broadway, Newburgh, New York. This event is open to the public. There is no cost to participate for either employers or job-seekers. Participating employers are invited to attend a complimentary informational breakfast session from 8:30am -9:30am. The breakfast will feature employers and employees speaking about their experiences in a diverse workplace. In addition, employers can learn about tax credits and other hiring incentives.

The Diversity Job Fair has become a regular feature every October which is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, connecting a variety of employers with talented candidates. Whether hoping to find a fresh start, a better job, or a new career direction job seekers will find a wealth of exciting opportunities.

Job opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, retail, healthcare and more will be offered. As always, certified benefits counselors will be on hand to provide information for job seekers receiving disability benefits who may have concerns about how returning to work may affect their benefits. Collaborating with Independent Living, Inc. to present the Diversity Job Fair are: Association for the Visually Impaired, Capabilities Partnership, Inc., the Local Business Advisory Council; the Mental Health Association in Orange County; NY State Commission for the Blind; NY State Department of Education/ ACCES-VR; Orange and Sullivan County Employment Alliance Network; Orange Works and Safe Harbors of the Hudson, Inc.
