Employment Network Services
This program accepts Ticket To Work from the Social Security Administration: all recipients of SSI or SSDI benefits are eligible to participate.
Independent Living, Inc. is now an official EMPLOYMENT NETWORK. This means that we are contracted by the Social Security Administration to provide a wide range of employment services for individuals with disabilities who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). All beneficiaries are eligible for a Ticket To Work from Social Security, which serves as a voucher used to receive our Employment Network services.
Our services include:
- Career consulting (e.g. portfolio preparation, resume writing, interview skills)
- Career strategies (e.g. skills assessment and development, job coaching)
- Case management
- Employment (i.e. hiring of beneficiary to work for the EN)
- Habilitation services (e.g. independent living training/assistance in support of work)
- Job accommodations
- Job training
- Job placement/employment services (e.g. job search, placement assistance)
- Peer mentoring services
- Personal attendant support services
- Post-employment support (e.g. job/employment retention services
- Referral to services or support from local mental health or developmental disabilities providers
- School to work transition services
- Services under a formal agreement with a Workforce Investment Board and/or One-Stop
- Special language capability (Spanish, ASL)
- Supported employment
- Situational assessment
- Transitional Employment Program
- Transportation assistance
- Work incentives counseling
