Today Doug Hovey presented the Public Policy Award to Assemblywoman Gunther at 2016 on September 15th at the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Inc. (NYAPRS) 34th Annual Conference, with 700 hundred in attendance. This was held at the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa in Kerhonkson, NY.
NYAPRS is a statewide coalition of people who use and/or provide recovery oriented community based mental health services. Independent Living attend this conference every year and Doug Hovey sits on the Board of Directors for NYAPRS.
