Celebrating 34 Years of the Americans with Disabilities Act

A Free Community Event

Join us on July 27, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the iconic Walkway Over the Hudson, as we celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Our 2024 theme, “Beyond Barriers,” highlights our commitment to dismantling physical, attitudinal, and systemic obstacles preventing the full participation of individuals with disabilities in our community.

The event will begin at 12 p.m., with an opening ceremony at 1 p.m. The program, featuring speakers from across the state who specialize in disability history, lived experience and disability advocacy, will run until 2:30 p.m.

This event promises to be an inspiring and educational gathering, fostering dialogue and action towards a more inclusive society where access, equality, and inclusion prevail. Don’t miss this opportunity to commemorate the ADA’s legacy and reaffirm our dedication to breaking barriers and fostering a more accessible future for all.

Let’s unite to bridge the gaps in connections to resources, services, and community, fostering collaboration among our peers and local providers for a more inclusive and supportive future for everyone.
