2026 Events

Our events bring people together to celebrate progress, spark conversation, strengthen community, and raise funds for the people we support. Each gathering reflects our commitment to advancing independence and expanding opportunity for people with disabilities.

Throughout the year, Independent Living, Inc. hosts programs, trainings, advocacy discussions, and signature fundraising events that educate, engage, and inspire action to remove barriers.

Check back often for new events and updates.

Please reach out to our team if you would like more information or are interested in getting involved.

ADA Accessible Roundtable

Independent Living, Inc. invites you to join our Disability Community Roundtable, a virtual discussion focused on accessible and disability-competent transportation systems.

Topics will include barriers to reliable transit, physical accessibility of vehicles and stations, paratransit services, communication access, and other challenges individuals with disabilities encounter when navigating public and private transportation options.

This is an opportunity to share experiences, elevate concerns, and contribute to solutions that strengthen access and independence across our community.

Please register HERE to participate in our Zoom discussion.

17th Annual Friends of Independence Breakfast

Independent Living, Inc. proudly invites you to join us for our annual fundraiser, the 2026 Friends of Independence Breakfast, celebrating this year’s theme,
The Power of Yes: Redefining What’s Possible Together.

At ILI, “yes” is more than a word. It is access. It is an opportunity. It is a job secured, a barrier removed, a door opened that once seemed closed. Every day, individuals with disabilities hear “no” in ways both visible and invisible. Together, we are changing that narrative.

This year’s breakfast will highlight the real impact of saying yes to inclusion, yes to independence, and yes to community-driven solutions. You will hear powerful stories, see measurable results, and learn how your partnership fuels meaningful change across our region.

Join business leaders, advocates, community members, and changemakers as we redefine what is possible.

Date: Wednesday, May 20
Location: The Country Club at Otterkill
Time: 8:00 am (Registration begins at 7:30 am)
