There will be FREE food, desserts and refreshments, donated by our local businesses.
Incentives:
Prizes! Visit all of the tables for a chance to win a prize! Each table has a little something for each guest to collect, showing they’ve engaged with all of our programs and are eligible to win.
Free phones! Yes – on the spot, within 10 minutes, eligible individuals can get their free cell phones. Come to our event and learn about all of our programs and services, including our community partner connections and referrals to supportive resources, such as Assurance Wireless who will be at our event.
*We recommend that you bring a government ID and benefits award letter if you are interested in this Affordable Connectivity Program phone.

Accessible and Fun Activities:
A Round of Applause for the ADA! We will welcome everyone with an activity that depicts our gratitude for and celebration of the ADA’s impact. We will create a vibrant display of hand-shaped cutouts created by our Community Independence Program members and personalized with statements like “I AM PROUD OF…” and “#ThanksToTheADA…” This activity will be a powerful testament to the collective achievements of the community, our consumers and staff.
Disability Awareness: Each of our programs are coordinating accessible and educational activities. Examples include:
Education Advocacy will have glasses that give a first-person experience of what different visual impairments look like.
SOR and Onward Recovery will offer Narcan training and hand out free Narcan.
Crisis Call Center Peers will offer Fentanyl and Xylazine testing trainings and kits.
…and much more!
Games: Some tables are hosting games and offering donated items as prizes for the winners.

Explore various tables, each table representing a specific program or service Independent Living, Inc. offers. We aim to connect with the community through our unique range of services and share personal stories of the individuals we support. You’ll also have a chance to engage with our staff, consumers, caregivers, professionals, and other community members who attend the event. New Independent Living, Inc. and Independent Home Care, Inc. swag just arrived!
